AFC Academy program back for 2025!
AFC Academy has been designed to provide continued training and player development outside of the primary football season. The academy program has been developed using select experienced and certified coaches from within AFC. This includes our head coach, premier league coaches, youth, and MiniRoos coaches.
AFC Academy programs will not be like your usual training that runs during the season. This program will focus on two building blocks from the Football Australia National Curriculum.
The discovery phase is mainly children from the ages of 6-10. We call the this the discovery phase because its an age bracket where we just want kids to discover their love for the game. This includes lots of football related games, letting them find the passion for the game.
This is the stage where players will further develop the main components of the game and core skills. It’s crucial to develop these skills at an early stage for players to provide them with the skills needed for future stages in football.
Registrations for our 2025 Training Program are now open! Registration is open for all existing junior players (Under 6 – Under 16) from Auburn FC and for the broader Granville and Districts Soccer Football Association (GDSFA) member clubs who wish to join for the training program.
2025 training program
Auburn FC will be running a training program for all players and those who want to develop their skills.
This program is open to:
- all existing Auburn FC players
- players from any club within the broader GDSFA member clubs community
- new players and beginners who have not previously played football
The program will run for 10 weeks, starting from August 28 through to November 6, 2025.
Dates: Every Tuesday & Thursday, from August 27 – November 6
Time: 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Location: Auburn FC home ground, Webbs Avenue, Auburn.
Days: Every Tuesday and Thursday (weather permitting)
Cost: $250 (Active Kids Vouchers are welcome) (10% sibling discount available)
